Best Tailors in Hong Kong – Index
Are you looking for a tailor in Hong Kong? Keep reading to discover 7 among the best tailors in the city. For each of them, we provide a short description, link to their website, address and opening time.
Punjab House (Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon)
Punjab House was founded in 1889 and is located on Nathan Road (Tsim Sha Tsui), Kowloon. It’s one of the oldest and most bespoke tailors in Hong Kong. They are a partner of Apsley Tailors in London and you can see that the Hong Kong store is now branded as Apsley Tailors as well.
Over the years, or should I say decades, Punjab House has catered to the British Army, Royal Navy, and primarily the business class of Hong Kong. They have sponsorships with British football clubs such as Fulham and West Ham United, but also with the Qatar World Cup.
With such notable achievements, you might think that Punjab House is beyond your budget. Sure, its prices are in the higher price segment, but you’ll find great deals and the prices are still well below tailors in major Western cities.
What I really like with Punjab House is that you can review the fabrics offered on the website. Thus, you can prepare in advance and ask for the codes of the fabrics you’re interested in. Not to forget, you can also book appointments directly on the website.
Prices
Prices for suits, shirts, dresses, and jackets are not displayed on the website. However, you can get a hint of the price levels by checking the different offers shown online.
At the moment I’m writing this article, you can get one suit with two pairs of pants and two shirts for HKD 3880 (USD 495). That’s a pretty good deal when taking into consideration that it’s one of the best tailors in Hong Kong.
They also offer “buy 2 shirts, get 1 for free” for as little as HKD 988 (USD 125). That equals to around USD 40 per shirt. I recommend you to give them a call or visit their website for up-to-date information.
