The Shangri-La Hotel is close to the financial district and just a short walk to the International Convention Center, an ideal option for businessmen attending the City’s Fair. There is a business center and several function rooms within the hotel and the 24 hour front desk will arrange transfers to the airport, 30 minutes away. Every room has Wi-Fi and there are plenty of facilities helping guests to relax after a busy day. The fitness center, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools and spa are enticing while those with family will find plenty for children; playground, pool and kid’s club. There are bar, coffee shop and restaurants with a variety of international cuisine. The Shangri-La definitely earns points for its staff and comfort provided even if it is not cheap to stay.
Langham Place Guangzhou
The Langham Place Guangzhou is located in the restaurants, shopping, and business district of Guangzhou, just a minute from the venue for the Canton Fair. The English speaking 24 hour front desk is on hand to organise help with transport and businessmen have the use of a center as well as meeting rooms. There is Wi-Fi throughout and bar, shops, coffee shop and restaurants for guests’ enjoyment. The hotel does not forget the need for guests to relax; a golf course is on site as well as a fitness center, indoor pool, sauna and spa and a lovely garden. This hotel is not cheap but overall wins guest approval on most fronts.

The Cavan Hotel is in Guangzhou’s Haizhu district, a 30-minute drive from East Guangzhou Railway Station and an hour from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The metro link is very close by. Businessmen are catered for with a business center and meeting facilities while there is Wi-Fi in public areas. The restaurant has local as well as international cuisine while there is also a coffee shop. The location is not ideal with few local attractions though there is a free shuttle bus for the 30 minute ride to the Canton Fair venue.

There is a fitness center and indoor pool, steam room and sauna while guest can also enjoy a pleasant garden. English is spoken but sometimes comunication can be a issue in order to obtain the best service. The 24 hour desk can arrange tours, shuttle and airport transfer.
Aloft Guangzhou Hotel University Park
The Aloft Guangzhou Hotel University Park Comfortable and clean hotel, however the location and communications aren’t ideal. It is 8 km away from the Canton Fair and 16 from the city center. There are 272 rooms on 9 levels, all with Wi-Fi which is also in all public areas. The front desk is open for 24 hours and English is spoken, but not properly. Guests have use of a bar and restaurant while there is a fitness center, indoor pool and billiards. There is a laundry service and guests are able to rent bicycles. Businessmen will find meeting facilities available for their use.
Guangzhou Hoikong Boutique Hotel Chigang Branch
The Guangzhou Hoikong Boutique Hotel Chigang Branch in the Pazhou Exhibition Center Area, is ideally located for those wishing to visit the Canton Fair. It is less than 1 km from the center yet 40 kms to the airport. English is spoken but, as usually happens in China, communication sometimes is difficult. There is Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. The hotel has round the clock room service and staff will help with tours and the shuttle service to the Fair. There is a bar and a restaurant as well as shops on site. Those finding the restaurant not to their taste can go to the restaurants nearby. Businessmen can hire meeting facilities and disabled guests are well catered for. Accommodation at a budget price sums the Hotel up.
Royal Garden Hotel
The Royal Garden Hotel is situated in the Pazhou Exhibition Center Area, close to the venue of the Canton Fair; the city center is 5 kms away. The hotel has 143 rooms all with Wi-Fi that is also in public areas. The front desk is open 24 hours and room service available likewise. There is a bar, coffee shop and restaurant while businessmen can book meeting rooms and take the shuttle bus during the duration of the Fair. Guests can relax with the garden or with spa, sauna and massage. The Hotel also has a fitness center as such. Limited English is spoken and there isn’t pool which would be nice during hot times of the year.
The University Town Hotel
The University Town Hotel situated in Pazhou Exhibition Center Area, welcomes businessmen and tourists alike. It is 7 km from the Canton Fair Center so perhaps not ideally located for everyone although it is inexpensive. There is 24 hour room service and facilities for disabled guests. Tennis, an outdoor pool with a bar and fitness center are on site and there is a garden in which to relax. Wi-Fi is available in public areas and facilities include a bar, coffee shop, restaurant and casino. Family rooms are available while there is also a laundry service. A smoking area has been designated. The concierge is happy to arrange tours though English is limited.
Pazhou Poly Apartment
The Pazhou Poly Apartment is in the Pazhou Complex which hosts the Canton Fair. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and 24 hour front desk with limited English speakers able to arrange tours. Guest have room service at all times and can store luggage as required. There is a fitness and business center as well as a coffee shop as well as shops. A special smoking area has been allocated while laundry facilities are available. Families can get rooms and a baby-sitting service is offered on request. There is some issues about how well the rooms are equipped given this facility is serviced apartment accommodation supposedly with cooking facilities.
